New eCommerce site launched for client - www.WestCoastEMT.com

We recently launched a new eCommerce site for West Coast Emergency Medical Training.

The site is built using our trusted eCommerce shopping cart, CS-Cart. Includes a custom design to manage the registration for the EMT courses.

West Coast Emergency Medical Training was established in 2010. Their courses follow the new National EMS Education Standards based on the National EMS Scope of Practice.

Website Redesigned for Non-Profit - www.CASPS.org

We just launched a redesign for a non-profit, The Committee for Armenian Students in Public Schools (CASPS).

CASPS was created in the summer of 1994 by a group of concerned educators and citizen leaders.  Their primary purpose was to lay the foundation of a grass roots organization that would address the social and educational needs of immigrant children in public schools.

The redesign focused on a few things:
  • Deliver a package to enable client to maintain the site - we used our content management system (CMS) to allow the client to maintain the content on the site, including text, images, video, etc.
  • Have an appealing design to enable to use the site for marketing/PR purposes
  • Enable the client to use the new site for fundraising - we enabled PayPal donations on the site
  • Highlight past students
The website also has a newsletter signup box (using iContact), a blog, archives of their printed newsletter, videos of past events, links and testimonials.

New website launched for client - www.TonysDeliSubs.com

We recently launched a new site for local deli, Tony's Deli.

Tony's Deli is a 25 year standing business with a proven track record in delicious sandwiches and a friendly customer service.

With this project, we really wanted to have a design that represented their tasty sandwiches, and their catering services.

How to make your website more “alive” for your customers.

We’re not talking about “Hal” from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Think more the computer in Star Trek and how she seemed alive. Yes, we’re still a ways away from voice activated computers that anticipate your requests and respond accordingly, but there are many other ways to create an interactive experience for the potential customer visiting your website. You want the customer to feel that your website is “real” and that perception is created by how the site “responds” to them.

There are many features that add up to the impression that your website is “responsive.” One example is “Geolocation functionality.” This is a feature in a website that builds in the ability for your site to know where the user is accessing the site from.

If you have a global on-line presence, with customers who speak different languages, then Geolocation functionality would be absolutely necessary. However, a retail dress shop with a small on-line store may not find it so important. Even a local operation can have customers from other places, though.

The biggest on-line market in the world is Asia. At more than 2 times every other on-line demographic, this may be a market you want to consider. If you sell inexpensive pieces of “Americana” (with an appropriate mark up) for example, you may find these are a hot item internationally. This is just something for you to consider. As your web designer, Caspian Services tailors every aspect of your site to your unique needs and wants. We want you to get the most from your website and sometimes the bells and whistles on a website can return the investment many times over.
